Under the force of environment issue and energy issue, distributed generation has achieved prodigious progress recently. And it is deemed to be the future development of modern power system. But normally distributed generators are installed near the customer side, so it will have a great of impact on power system especially on distribution system. This paper mainly deals with analysis software for distribution system considering distributed generation, which is based on CIM.The main works of this paper includes as following:First, structure of the graphic platform is described in detail. Based on the concept of software engineering, this paper analyzes the functions and design principle of graphic platform for power systems, and then proposes some design methods, such as the hierarchical model and the dissociation technique in graphic and data, which makes the graphic system reusable, opening and extensible.Second, because of the three-phase unbalance property and the special components of distribution system, the extensions of CIM (Common Information Model) to the components of distribution system are studied. In order to combine graphic platform with CIM, some original classes are modified by adding new attributes or roles.Third, this paper presents a method of mapping CIM of IEC61970 to relational databases based on the analysis of characteristics of CIM and power systems. Generalization, association and aggregation are discussed respectively in the mapping scheme. At last, this paper presents a method for power network topology analysis using CIM. All kinds of analysis and calculation application, such as state estimation, optimal power flow(OPF), fault calculation, are based on topology analysis. The topology static analysis and dynamic tracing function are realized by BFS method, which both take distributed generation into account.
