Elementary Study On Convention And Exhibition Center Design

The convention and exhibition center directly services to large-scale commercial activities .as its contribution to the region development in economic and trade , it has been attached much more attention around the world.The convention and exhibition center generally refers to large comprehensive building and group of buildings with commercial activities such as exhibitions and conventions as their main function . Compared with the traditional exhibition building and large public building , the former has its distinction in site selection and planning, function organizations, spatial shape creations, structural forms, fire prevention issues , architectural technical design.. This thesis focuses on those convention and exhibition centers with exhibition as their main function ,especially on their architectural design. This thesis extends with the process of convention and exhibition centre architectural design as clue ,and does some research on site selection ,sit planning , architectural design and architectural technology design step by step. In addition, it analyzes a practical project which writer participated in as feedbacks to views above.This thesis is divided into six chapters. In the first chapter, it totally introduces some related information about exhibition industry as necessary background to the development research convention and exhibition center design. The second chapter is the introduction about convention and exhibition center refer to its concept, characters and construction model. Chapter 3, Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 are key chapters in this thesis which summarizes some general rules and methods on site planning , building designs and technical design , with more example analysis about convention and exhibition center both abroad and at home. Chapter 6 introduces a practical project , which is also the origination of this thesis framework .It is expected to provide some experience to other project in future .
