In the course of door structural design, correct methodand procedure are the key points to realize rational design, such as determination of doorstructure outlay, arrangement of accessories, motion verification and also others as overallcoordination of structure, strength, rigidity, reliability etc., all have definite rule and demand.Fairly detailed discussion is made for some problem of door structural design combining thesubstantial practice of product development.Car body door is composed of such as outer panel, inner panel, window frames, doorglass guide slot, hinges, lock and door components accessories. The inner panel withregulator, locks and other accessories, is also necessary to strengthen local boards in order toassemble solidly. In order to enhance the safety of the door installed door beam in general.Outer panel and inner panel combine with the flange plate, bonding, roll welding. Fordifferent requirements, the quality of light outer panel and rigid strong inner panel, canwithstand a greater impact.Therefore, the definition of the door design, layout, design, and finally to the analysis,validation, establish a comprehensive process is a very practical significance, and can guidethe design of precision, to achieve quality goals doors.In this paper, we study the processes of the door layout and design through one actualengineering project development of a sedan car, focusing on the function of pieces tocomplete the door layout of the study process. Technology at home and abroad through the development trend of the body of the review and understanding, we do the analysis on thebasic structure and the component using the modern computer technology and advanceddesign concepts of the process. And we carried out relevant research on the doordevelopment process, focusing on the theoretical analysis of the various important points andthe estimation of the experience and knowledge. Then we selected the structure of the doorand discuss the package of the door, creating the detailed design for the overall layout ofparts. Finally, we adopted the detailed design of the inner panel of the case studies withCATIA technical skills. And we completed the DMU movement simulation of the door limit,the molding analysis of the inner panel, and such as outer panel's hydrostatic stiffnessanalysis of a series of validation.In this paper, the results of process research have great value and practical significancefor sedan door design.Certainly, there must be some error and mistakes in the paper.
