With the rapid development of China's economy, all sectors of the growing demand for aluminum, it's second only to the amount of iron and steel, and ranks first in non-ferrous metals industry. The production of electrolytic aluminum is at home and abroad was the main way of primary aluminum, but aluminum industry is a high energy-consuming industries, its energy consumption is mostly in maintenance areas. That achieving the maintenance when power isn't off in aluminum industry will bring great profit.This project through the design of new system to achieve this goal that it's not necessary to switch off power to start and stop electric tank when device is repaired, using electronic switches and mechanical power switches. This system can solve the existing design deficiencies and avoid the phenomenon of mechanical switches striking a light, and extend the service life of mechanical switches. And it's made to be controlled more conveniently and practically when use electronic switches to replace conventional steel shunt.The main research topic is the design of electronic switch and system control. The system is constituted a high-power short-circuit switches by using of high-power MOSFET parallel group, and the achievement of short-circuit shunt control simulation system by using of S7-200 PLC and MP370.By studying the characteristics of MOSFET, in accordance with the output and transfer characteristics of MOSFET, then use multiple parallel MOSFET to form a high-power short-circuit switch group, test all the MOSFET, grasp its turn-on voltage and turn-off voltage, in order to achieve to control its switch on and off. Adding current limiting resistors and light-emitting diode to each MOSFET between KS and ground, to protect each MOSFET to avoid the occurrence of the phenomenon of short-circuit return. Simulation system consists of PC host computer, MP370 touch screen, analog devices, S7-200 PLC and EM231 expansion module and analog devices including electronic switches, mechanical switches and electro bath, the PLC control program can be downloaded to in PC host computer by the USB / PPI cable, then PC can control the electronic switching of analog devices and mechanical switches, so the operation of switching on power to start and stop electro bath can be completed, however, at the same time, the system can achieve the operational process control and synchronization of visual display by MP370 touch screen.
