Reasonable and precise power system models and parameters are the foundation to carry out the calculation and analysis of power system dynamic behavior.The model and parameter identification of synchronous machine is an ancient and vibrant topic.Thanks to the wide installation and application of PMU,the access for dynamic data of power system has become easier and faster,which provide convenient conditions for modeling and parameters identification of synchronous machine.This paper studies the model identifiability of synchronous machine,testifies that PMU can be applied to parameter identification,and analyzes the principle of time domain parameter identification.The specific method and process of on-line identification method using Least Square are put forward.In order to obtain the required identification data,this paper carries out the simulation in single-machine system and multimachine system.Finally,a program for synchronous machine parameter identification is written,and then the result verifies the validity of this approach.At the same time,the program is rewritten using simulink module,which can reflect the operation status of identification and simplify the program's complexity.
