The Application Of Frequency Regulating Technology On Medium Voltage Motors

According to the analysis of objects to save energy,the reconstructive project of adding frequency inverter of boost fan motor is feasible,and after the comparison of three methods such as Y-â–³transposition,high-low-high style frequency inverter, high-high style frequency inverter,high-high style frequency inverter is chosen to both saving energy,reducing waste and softly starting MV motors to improve run status.According to the analysis of relay protection between before and after frequency regulating,three regions such as inverter,insolate transformer and motor are chosen to relay protection configuration and setting,for simplifying the protection and setting.According to the temperature rise between before and after frequency regulating, additional loss by higher harmonic leads to temperature rise.The change of air gap in motor leads to the fall of temperature rise,and it is proved to be effect by the actual measured data.
