With the development of the techniques being proposed,it is presently a kind of low consumption hybrid electric techniques that is most feasible and capable of mass production,and applied the new techniques to vehicle firstly.The region of engine's operation can be limited and controlled to reduce fuel consumption and emissions because of the action of electric system in the hybrid power system.Under the condition of fixed configuration and parameters,power can be distributed reasonably to let engine operate in the region of lower fuel consumption and lower emissions and control for fuel consumption and emissions can be realized by the control strategy.This paper based on the traditional road sweeper using in the city, and refits it to be minitype hybrid electric road sweeper,realizing the design object to improve the fuel economy and decrease the emissions.Firstly,it analyzed and compared the drive structure and type of HEV,and series hybrid drivetrain is selected as the drive system of the prototype according to its use requirement.It formulated the performance index for minitype hybrid electric road sweeper,and completed the components selecting and parameter matching of its power train.Battery management system is designed. Based on the analyses for design requirements of control strategy and the research for the existing and mature control strategies of series HEV,control strategy aimed at decreasing fuel consumption,the efficiency of battery and emissions is presented,and the block of control strategy is designed.ADVISOR2002 software was used to simulate the designed prototype under certain drive cycle.The simulation result is compared with that form conventional road sweeper,from which it can be concluded that as for the newly designed prototype,the parameter selecting is reasonable and power is superior.In a word,the study on SHERS provides some theoretical reference for special purpose vehicle applied hybrid electric techniques.
