Cognitive Map Case Study Of The University Campus Space

The paper,putting students' cognitive behavior as the main study subjects,investigates the cognitive map to the campus space of Dalian University of Technology,analyzes these spaces in terms of influence factors of the cognitive map,and finally sums up an optimal model of the campus space design.The research has importantly realistic meaning in completion and development of campus spaces of Dalian University of Technology and space construction of the other colleges and universities.In order to create strongly imageable campus spaces,through preliminary questionnaire investigation,the cognitive sketch investigation and open-ended questionnaire the thesis proceeds deep analyze and study into campus spaces of Dalian University of Technology. The first course of putting forward the question,the thesis expounds the background and meaning that the thesis carries on cognitive map to the campus spaces of Dalian University of Technology,and brings forward the content proposed and the specific methods used;Then the thesis researches on the environmental behavior theory and the cognitive map theory, related theories,identifies the system of cognitive impact factors of the cognitive map on campus space of Dalian University of Technology.In the stage of investigating the cognitive map and determining the cases,the paper takes a combination of preliminary questionnaire investigation,the cognitive sketch investigation and open-ended questionnaire.Through those methods finds the valuable cases based on the result of public cognitive map;In the case study phase,analyzes and researches specific cases with cognitive map influence factors system. Finally,based on the case analyses study and optimize the elements of the campus space,and think about the principles of the campus space design,and then sum up an optimal model of the campus space design.In addition,the paper counts and analyseses the most obvious impact factor of differences of cognitive map,with a view to direct the follow-up detailed study with definite data.
