The Research For Campus Open Space Based On Environmental Behavior

The rapid developments of society,economic,science and technology have brought great changes to Chinese educational system,in the past few years,our countries' college construction has experienced an unprecedented rising.With the background of substantial changes in educational idea and talent cultivation,teaching methods and educational scale,college students' group characteristics and behavioral rule presents in new diversified forms.It is an inevitable issue for campus construction research that how to optimize the campus outdoor space under the new background.This paper' based on environmental behavior theory,reviewed the development course of the university campus,build on open space system,took the South Lake campus of Northeast University as an empirical case,to analysis outdoor space's main users'(students)characteristics and regularity of daily activities through questionnaire investigation,and through the cognitive map and use the evaluation method for the campus outdoor space as a whole after image cognition.Students generally satisfied with the outdoor space environment of Nanhu campus of Northeastern University,but it still needs some improvements,such as unclear pointing signs;slightly single green plant species;overall architectural style is more steady than feasible.Based on the above research,this paper offered feasibility suggestions on the design and space transformation of university campus' outdoor space environment,and expected to create a vibrant university campus.
