Variable mass energy storage air-conditioning system is also called variable mass energy transformation and storage system.Its shortened form is VMETS.This system belongs to a new potential storage technology.It finishes the whole processes of energy transformation and storage by chemical potential variation of the working fluid,which caused by mass and concentration variation in working fluid storage tank during the energy charging or discharging.It's working flow can be divided into close cycle and open cycle.A closed variable mass energy transformation and storage(VMETS) system for air-conditioning and using water-LiBr mixture as working fluid is studied in this paper.First the working theory and flow of the closed variable mass energy transformation and storage (VMETS) system for air-conditioning and using water-LiBr mixture as working fluid,and on this basic,improved the close cycle working flow,used heat electric heater to replace the compressor,complete the new whole working flow.This paper also designed and developed energy storage and air conditioning system experiment equipment using this working flow. And presented the structure and component element of the experiment equipment,given a sketch of the development this experiment equipment.In this paper,we also did some experiment,obtained the working condition of this experiment equipment in three heat power.Taken a factory and office building's daily cooling load of an entire air-conditioning season in Hangzhou for example,gets the experiment equipment's electric load shift rates of the whole air-conditioning season.Finally,proposed the problems in the design and development of this experiment equipment,found the disadvantage of the experiment equipment and development of variable mass energy storage air-conditioning system.
