Calculation And Analysis Of Highway Operating Speed And Software Development

Our country uses design speed system in highway design at present. Traditional design speed method will easily make more velocity difference between two adjacent sections to increase traffic accident rate, becase its alignment design lacks continuity and consistency to make actual speed and design speed different. Based on the defects of design speed method, this paper makes a comprehensive study of oprating speed method of this new design idea.It analyzes vehicle driving characteristics in the highway. By the study of main operating speed calculation models at home and abroad, using these modles to calculate and analyze examples, it gives advantages and disadvantages of these calculation modles, and makes a suggestion about segmentation of dividing highway section.It introduces Highway Safety Audit System, and points out the importance of safety audit. The paper enumerates some main difficulties and obstacles faced by safety audit, and methods and measures are proposed to solve these problems. According to the problem that it consumes a lot of time and energy and also leads to errors easily to calculate and analyze highway operating speed, compiles a set of professional software system----"Calculation and Analysis System of Operating Speed". It introduces the development conception and general arrangement about this software system, including function modules, and its operation method.By calculating specific examples, using hand-calculation, Hint software about opetaing speed and "Calculation and Analysis System of Operating Speed", compares the calculation results to verify the reliability and practicality of "Calculation and Analysis System of Operating Speed". According to certain evaluation indexes of operating speed, do safety audit on calculation results, and finds out some bad linear combination situations, and suggests how to adjust the design.
