EPS(Electric Power Steering)uses advanced electronics technology and motor control technology in the steering system, the direct power source is not the engine but the DC motor. EPS can improve the dynamic and static performance of the automobile, reduce energy cost and pollution, improve the driver's coziness and security. So the research and development on EPS has far-reaching meaning. This thesis have researched bringing Virtual Instrument into EPS to test the parameter .Virtual Instrument is a computer based instrument system which has a virtual panel and its function is realized by software. It is the production of the association between computer technique and instrumentation technique. It is based on computer system and software technique is the kernel. Virtual Instrument breaks through the limitation of the capability of traditional instrument by data acquisition, signal processing, data storage and graphic display. It is a carrier flat of the measuring and automatization system with high performance and low cost.The main contents of this research include:using high-performance data acquiring equipment to form the system' s hardware platform combining with personal computer;Adopting NI company' s software exploiting platform LabVIEW 8.2 combined with the corresponding driver program to develop high efficient testing and analysis software;perfecting the software, making it has some performances such as high efficient, speedy,accurate, economical,convenient, inherit etc..The change trend of the motor's current and steering resistance is the same in principle,which proves the design of this system is correct and reliable.
