Reinforced concrete rib arch bridge are most widely used type of bridge in southwest of china at the 1990s. After having been used for more than ten years, the bridges had highlighted a number of diseases, so it is an arduous task to strengthen and maintenance. Comprehensive evaluation for residual bearing capacity of existing reinforced concrete rib arch bridge is the foundation of decision-making of strengthening and maintenance. This is of great significance to the bridges'safely using. So it is exigent to solve the problem about the load-carrying capacity comprehensive evaluation of reinforced concrete rib arch bridge.In this paper,a large number of reinforced concrete rib arch bridges'disease information had been investigated and collected, and generating mechanism of the disease had been analyzed in detail. On the basis of which, the idea about analytic hierarchy process had been introduced in load-carrying capacity comprehensive evaluation. Residual bearing capacity evaluation style has been set up by analytic hierarchy process, which used the ratios of load effect and resistance effect as the component. Based on Miaobao bridge in Fengdu, the whole process failure-model test has been done. Relative results has been extracted to establish the loading-capacity norm about rib arch bridge. This norm takes a quantitative method to classify the load-carrying capacity condition of the reinforced concrete rib arch bridge for five grades: excellent, good, poor, bad and dangerous. In allusion to subjectivity of the salvation of weight coefficient, finite element numerical analysis has been put forward to determine the coefficient of index weight of reinforced concrete rib arch bridge in this paper. At the same time, the principle and method about value-taking of check-calculation coefficient, reduction coefficient, deterioration coefficient as well as activity-load effect modification coefficient of reinforced concrete rib arch bridge has been introduced by using for reference of existing norms and related research. The coefficient has been reflected on load effect and resistance effect expression of structural member of rib arch bridge. The method of determine loading-capacity button evaluation index has been provided.The load-carrying capacity comprehensive evaluation mode of reinforced concrete rib arch bridge provided by theoretical analysis and experimental research has a strong feasibility and applicability, and this theory can be applied to load-carrying capacity comprehensive evaluation of reinforced concrete rib arch bridge in our country.
