Abstract/Summary:
For a long timecthe production lines sweep the world, and become a symbol of industrial society. However, in recent one or two decade, with the ever-changing technology and the environment, the raising of the level of production brought about the consumption patterns of diversification and personality. It makes the market demand change larger number of fewer varieties into more varieties of fewer quantities. The mass production of assembly lines cannot reflect the adaptation gradually. Lean Production has broken the logic of "small volume, low efficiency, high cost", breaking the convention of mass production "improving the quality, increasing the costs", Lean Production can produce more varieties with the lower cost and higher quality. It is a new mode of production that can eliminate mass production. CELL production is an important aspect of Lean Production by reducing waste in the production process and rapidly improving the competitiveness of a company.This paper studies the workshop that is changed from the assembly line to Cell line production. Because the shape of cell influence the delivery of materials directly and the convenience of taking materials or temporary storage of production in processes, this requires Cell line rational arrangement of the facilities. In other words, a good production model is essential for enhancing the competitiveness of enterprises, and its layout is the important work of this. It can be said that production mode is an important content of manufacturing system, and the pros or cons of its layout directly determine the quality of products, productivity and economic benefits. Practice has proved that: whether resource utilization is high or not during building or reforming projects, whether the equipments apply production, can achieve good investment results, give play to technical and economic and managerial benefits, the layout play a decisive role. Therefore, the layout is considered the soul of the design of the whole project.With examples, papers apply the System Layout Planning (SLP), operations research and Flow Path Calculator software (FPC) to design the layout of Cell line and apply Flexsim simulation software to test the layout of Cell line on a computer-aided test study. Finally, papers apply fuzzy math related theoretical analysis and analytical hierarchy process to evaluate the layout in the quantitative and qualitative evaluation.
