The Interior Space Design Of Small Sized Dwelling

The development of small-sized dwelling has been more and more necessary nowadays. The inside space is one of the most important aspects. Therefore, this thesis talks about the issue of"The inside space design of small-sized dwelling". The author uses the approaches of qualitative and quantitative researches, combination with other subjects and doing tentative design. The author aims to identify the main points, methods and steps of designing.The thesis is constituted with four parts. The first part includes the research of the scale of human-beings, furniture and equipments. The second part contents the investigation of dwelling behavior in Chinese big cities, and the author inducts the function and the content of space from it. The third part insists that taking adaptability as the principle of combining space, and seduces the ways of combining. The last part introduces the tentative design done by the author, and display how to use the results from this research.The results includes data of scales which appears in interior space, the content of unit space as well as the relationship between them, and the ways that can be used to combine unit spaces. The result consist main points of inside space designing. If compound them with researches of other aspects, we may achieve a whole methodology system of small- sized dwelling design.
