A Research On Small And Medium-sized Dwelling Units

Taking the small and medium-sized dwelling units in sale in Nanjing's real estate market as an example, based on a survey into the functions of different suite patterns and a questionnaire on housing function demands, by referring to Residential application of performance assessment system, this thesis approaches the problems in housing design of small and medium-sized residential apartments under current policies and put forward corresponding strategies from perspectives both of technology and of design concepts. Taking Ergonomics as its theoretical basis and meeting the basic needs of behavior units and securing certain degree of comfort as its principle, the thesis mainly focuses on research on the streamline order of living and spatial scales for typical functions of small and medium-sized residential apartments, and proposes that elaborate design concept be implemented to improve space utilization efficiency, that variable design concept be advocated to enhance suite pattern adaptation and that economy concept be considered to cut the cost of construction.This thesis is divided into five parts: the introduction, a survey on the design of small and medium-sized residential apartments, an analysis of the data from the survey, housing design of small and medium-sized dwelling units under current policies, the economy property of small and medium-sized residential apartments design and the conclusion part.
