Transmission line is an important component of the power system,owing to severe power energy shortage,there are really serious problems with traditional transmission lines capacity increasing technologies,by reason of the existence of a long construction period,the transmission corridor acquisition difficulties,and large cost. Therefore,the research about improving the existing transmission capacity of transmission lines is particularly important.In this paper,the research results of transmission capacity increasing technology at home and abroad are presented and analyzed.The characteristic of dynamic increasing capacity models are studied,and the overall structure of on-line conductor temperature monitor system is introduced.At the temperature measure terminal,solar energy combined with battery provide its power supply.This power supply system designed can effectively solve the problem of difficult getting electricity at temperature measure terminal.The communication scheme of system is also devised.The communication between the inner temperature measure terminal and host is achieved by short-distance and low-power wireless technology,while the communication between the temperature measure system and monitoring centre is achieved by using GPRS long-distance communication technology.In this paper,the hardware design of temperature measure terminal and host is presented in detail.The software design of hardware drivers and function implementations of the system is completed.Finally,the computational methods of the actual current carrying capacity and maximum allowable carrying capacity according to actual weather condition for transmission lines are advanced,on the basis of dynamic increasing capacity theory,and the relationship between conductor temperature and transmission line current-carrying capacity.We also calculate the recessive capacity of monitored lines combined with on-site test data.The results show that,the temperature on-line monitoring system for high voltage transmission lines can realize the real-time and reliable monitoring of transmission lines conductor temperature, and can provide an effective solution for dynamic increasing capacity theory.
