With the development of science and technology, the modern high-rise buildings are developed in the comprehensive direction with complicated figures and various functions, and the high-rise buildings with transfer floor are increasingly applied. The girder transfer floor is widely used in design of high-rise buildings with the characteristics of clear-edge, clear-channel, simple structure and so on. In recent years many transfer floors are located high position, usually on the 3rd to the 6th floor, some on the 7th to the 10th, even higher. It is very necessary to study seismic performance and design method of such buildings with high transfer floor so as to provide advice for the same type of structures. This paper studies the seismic performance of the tall buildings of frame-supported shear wall structure with high transfer floor by SAP2000, and the main contributions in this paper are as follows:1. In different transfer floor position several three-dimensional finite element models are established. By analyzing the period, mode shape and modal participating mass ratios of the structural, analysis and evaluation are made about the impact of transfer floor position on the dynamic characteristic of the tall building.2. According to the established several three-dimensional finite element models, by analyzing the earthquake response(drift, story drift and shear ) of the structural models that bear the same typical acceleration response spectrum, analysis and evaluation are made about the impact of transfer floor position on seismic performance of the tall building.3. According to the established several three-dimensional finite element models, by calculating the different ratios of equivalent lateral rigidity and shear rigidity of transfer floor, analysis and comparison are made about the two rigidity ratios to measure the influence level of the earthquake response of the models, then evaluation are made about the seismic performance of the tall building.
