When the time has changed to the new millennium, the computer and the internet have been devoloping faster both in its depth and width, so the traditional concept of "product" has been further expanded and extended. Beside cars, home electronics and other forms of entities that we called traditional products, things like software, internet services, as well as the "ubiquitous computing" have been gaving us a variety of digital products into a wide range of people's livelihood. There is a very wide range of forms of these kind of Products: from a software and hardware combined consumer electronic products to software-based services which main form is still a software, and even "service" itself has gradually evolved into a kind of "invisible" form of product.At this "new form" and "new features "have been greatly enriched times. along with technological development and the concept of design being accepted by more and more people and the growing commercial competition, the designers's special interest of product elements like "form" and "function" is no longer the most important factors in the design field. User experience are combined new technologies, business mode and and design, its main focus is easy-to-use, effectively meets the ever-changing user needs, as well as gives producers the value. User experience has become the key factor of the product design.When Product emphasizes the overall user experience, the design methodology faces a new challenge: facing all kinds of new digital products and services, which kind of methods will fit the broader concept of the "product" design? The methodogy of traditional industrial design clearly can not be fully applicable, then, which way we want to carry out product design in this new era? This article will discuss these topics.This article is from the view of the "product designer" on the situation of "wider use of the internet". Start with the definition of the specific form of new products "Internet Applications" to analyze product design at this stage. In this part, our aim is to clarify some of the concepts, characteristics, terminology and methods about the Internet Applications products. And also, introduce the basic skills and design methods,use these defination to be the main carrier of this research. Then we analyse the "context" which is the key concept for the new form products through the analysis of "context" in the role of different design to explore its core meaning to product design and development, after this we will give a brief introduction on "Rapid contextual design "approach, as well as the operational processes. In this arcticle, combined with the characteristics of "Internet Applications", we intoduce the project which the author is joined, the volunteer network platform "Iworld" to exeplore the new and optimized way of the rapid contextual design method about the"Internet Applications"...
