Research On Context Reconstruction And Visualization Method For User Experience Design

In the era of mobile internet and ubiquitous sensing,the industry has increasingly needed massive user data analysis in product design and development to find user pain points and needs,and guide product design and user experience improvement.In this kind of user data analysis,user experience researchers need to reconstruct the user's situation from the data,that is,an overview of the user's related activities at a certain time period,certain place,using a certain product,or around a certain thing,so that in this context to better understand and gain insight into user behavior,experience,pain points,and needs.However,there are currently no data visualization methods and tools that can provide effective support for this.According to the product user experience design practice and user data analysis needs,the author attempts to propose and define the concept of user context,design and develop a visual tool to reconstruct user context from user data,and provide support for user data analysis.Based on the concept of the context of use,the author of this article first conducts a cognitive task analysis on the data analysis work of user experience researchers,understands the role of user context in their data analysis process,and proposes the definition of context on this basis.After further analysis of the context information,the context information collection capability of the context awareness data collection tool CAUX is improved.Taking multiple user experience research projects as application cases,the user-centered design method is adopted to carry out user context reconstruction and visual design.Through multiple rounds of experiments and iterative iterations,a prototype of context reconstruction and visualization tools was designed to convert the original user data into situations and visually present them in a variety of graphical charts to support user data analysis by user experience researchers.Taking the real user experience research project as an application case,the author compares and analyzes the context reconstruction visualization method with the traditional manual data analysis method.The results show that the use of context reconstruction visualization tools has obvious advantages in discovering the number and content of user experience problems,and can effectively reduce time costs.
