The problem of transmission network planning is a nonlinear integer planning problem with restraint conditions and discrete variables and a difficult and outstanding problem in planning research.In this paper we propose improved particle swarm optimization algorithm based on non-linear time-decreasing inertia weight and use it into solving the transmission network planning problem.For the characteristics and the restraint conditions of the actual planning work,we establish transmission network planning model based on non-linear time-decreasing inertia weight ,which is based on DC load flow model.This paper offers the new valid method found in the programming process for the complex connectivity test problem.At last,a case this study of IEEE 6-bus test system demonstrates the validity and reliability of method.
