Automobile Damper, also known as automobile shock absorber, is an important component of auto shock-absorber system. We advice higher demand of comfort for our seating environment as the rapidly developing of our transportation and high-speed locomotive. So, we must improve deoscillator's nature corresponding. The measurement of damping factors is great significance in guiding the improvement of the deoscillator's structure and nature. The existing test criterion is to draw indicator diagrams , and most of national test-bed are mechanical test-bed, they have been found many experimental methods unreasonable.In this paper, the vehicle damper characteristics test-bed and test system are studied. The main work is divided into four parts:(1) The existing working process and experimental method of the damper test-bed are introduced, and describe the defects of test-bed's structure and composition, and also analyze unreasonable aspects of the experimental method.(2) In allusion to the defects of test-bed's structure and composition, use highly adjustable U-rack. On the one hand, a more stable test-bed structure is made, on the other hand, more types of damper can be tested on the test-bed; propose the eccentric wheel and gear as the transmission mechanism, not only could make the damper extend and compress under the demand, but also simplify the structure of the test bed and reduce the test errors.(3) In allusion to the defects of experimental methods, the method of numeral control are introduced, digital computing technology is used in the test system of the damper test-bed, and make sure task of the functional modules. Data collection and signal process module: use sensor to transfer Physical quantities measured to electricity signal, and then it is send to the control module as single-chip can identify form after signal process; Real time control module of the test system: Use embedded system as core part; complete the task of the measured physical quantity's storage, communication to the host, and real time control to the AC servo motor; The computer background control module of the test system: the development of the PC software, mainly to complete the interaction with the user, the experimental data calculate, draw damper characteristic curve, and send instruction to the real time controller.(4) The structure and working principle of the damper are introduced, and the movement of the damper in the test is analyzed; introduce the damper's characteristics such as damping factor and the standard to judge the damper's performance, then analyze the curve based on this standard and mastery of the performance of damper which is measured, finally put forward maintain method of the damper which is blemish. Damper characteristics test results shows that the experimental system's design of hardware and software also and measure-control methods are very effective.
