| A hardware design and software control flow about DSC of ultrasound instrument based on SOPC is introduced in this paper. Above all, based on the function of system, the scheme of Nios II MCU system is adopted in DSC of ultrasonund instrument. After analyse the principle and the model structure of system about DSC, design hardware circuit modules by using logic resource in FPGA, and describe and validate them one by one. Then design image processing module by using DSP development kit based on SOPC, and connected with other modules together with the Nios II softcore processor by Avalon bus, ultimately, build a DSC system of ultrasound instrument. In addition, the surplus programmable logic resource and IP softcore in FPGA could make up of interface function module of embedded system, to accomplish function of data storage, assignment, and transmission and so on.The method about Nios II as the core of the system, and DSP as the processing algorithm, has high expansibility and flexibility. Nios II deal with harmonious working and datas transmission between modules, and DSP modules mainly for image processing and optimization. They carry out their duties, with the greatest efficiency enhances system's performance. As a softcore, Nios II is beneficial to build own special purpose embedded systems. And a growing number of IP and third-party support will even more promote the Nios II system versatility. |
