Research On Launch System Applies To Non-Lethal Laser Weapons Abstract

The Non-Lethal Laser Weapons are natural results of the development of modern science and technology, especially of the combination of the rapid development of military science and technology and modern military strategic theory. It will not directly result fatal death, destruction of weaponry and the ecological environment, It is a kind of "humane" weapon, which can weaken the enemies' combat capability through special method called "soft kill and soft damage". By attacking vulnerable parts of aggressors and breaking equipment, it can force them into submission or prohibit further action, as well as reduce the amount of deaths and delimit the degree of breakage.There are two types of Non-Lethal Laser Weapons, divided by operational purpose, one is for biological target, which is aimed at breaking enemies' mental and bodies, and making them lost combat effectiveness. The other is for object, aimed at ceasing to be in effect, such as weaponry, defense installations, electronic reconnaissance and communication system, etc. Non-Lethal Laser Weapons, referred on this paper, can potentially be used as impairs aggressors within , through their ability to produce temporary vision loss in varying degrees when aimed at the eyes. It can also impair photoelectric sensor and night vision system of weaponry within the distance of kilometers.Characteristic of laser propagated in the atmosphere is also concerned. With this features, we can analyze the discipline influent the propagation in various sorts of weather condition, and find out method improving the effect of it.The overall layout, design of mechanical structure and control circuit, involved in the launch system of Non-Lethal Laser Weapons on this paper, are totally discussed. Results of vibration test of launch system are also provided.
