Spectrum Analysis Based On Virtual Instrument

Spectrum analysis can be used in many science and technology area,for example some radio technology such as communication,seismic surveying,telecommunication,navigation,radar etc,in additon,some non-electricity such as light waves,mechanical vibration,shock,noise can be transform current or voltage by so-called transducer to be analysed easily,so the spectrum analysis also play an important role in the fields of vibration,noise,electro-acoustic,motor, construction,biotechnology,medicine etc.With the development of modern science technology and society,various measurement and test instruments are required to accomplish more and more complicated jobs.The demands for measurement technology and test equipments are getting higher.Because of electronics technique and computer technique developing so fast and their application in elctronic measurement and instrument realm,the new test theories,new test method,new test realm and new instrument structure appear continuously.In recent year,a new measure technology that combines the technologies of electronic,computer and network is developed which is named Viertual Instrument.In this paper,choose LabVIEW the graphical programming language as the development platform of virtual instrument,analysis signals in frequency combining with the basic priciples of signal processing.There are two ways to get the signal resources,one is through virtual signal generator another is remote computer.The former gives needed signal by the user's setting,while the latter shows the advantages of the information network.In the module of signal analysis in frequency domain,the main achievement is realizing signal amplitude and phase spectrum analysis,power spectrum analysis,harmonic analysis,cepstrum analysis and joint time-frequency domain analysis.At the same time,set up some analysis function in time-domain to get a comprehensive understanding of the signal.The user can do operations such as parameters setting,signal analysis,results showing easily by using the menu-driven interactive interface.With the Web server technology which be provided by LabVIEW,it can communicate with other computers on the network, distribute the operation process and the results of the analysis on the network,realize information sharing.
