Optimal load distribution for power plants with the aim of minimizing the coal consumption while meeting the demand by the electric power dispatching center is significant in reducing power supply cost and increasing the competence of power plants. The structure and hardware system of plantwide optimal load distribution system(LDS) are designed first in this paper.Then,theory and implementation of redundant platform are introduced,and the flow chart of the optimal load distribution algorithm is analyzed and designed.A method is proposed to search the economy weight of multi-objective load optimal distribution model quickly and effectively by taking golden section value between two end points.Finally operational test is performed on LDS,and the results show that LDS can achieve good economy while meeting the rate demand required by electric power dispatching center.
