In order to realize the higher efficiency and quasi-zero CO2 emmission of coal fired power generation system,the Integated Gasification Combined Cycle(IGCC)-Solid Oxide Fuel Cell(SOFC) hybrid system has been studied in this paper.The first section sums up the basic structure,working principle and advantages of the fuel cells.Based on Aspen PlusTM soft,the SOFC system model is developed.The performance characteristics of SOFC system are discussed with consideration of the effect of the current density,the cell operating temperature,operating pressure and the fuel utilization factor on the overall SOFC system;The second section proposes and studies the IGCC-SOFC hybrid power system.Firstly,using the Aspen PlusTM soft,the model for the IGCC-SOFC hybrid power system is established and the performance of the overall hybrid power system affected by the main operating parameters of SOFC system are analyzed,then,the economic and environmental performace of IGCC-SOFC are also analyzed;The third section summarizes the typical five ways to separate and sequester CO2 from IGCC.Based on the features of the IGCC-SOFC hybrid power system,a new quasi-zero CO2 emission IGFC-CC hybrid power system is proposed and the overall performance of IGFC-CC system with CO2 capture is evaluated by using the evaluation criterion - comprehensive performance index of energy consumption and environmental pollution.The achivements obtained from this paper will provide the valuable reference for further study on the IGCC hybrid system with high efficiency.
