| As to the human being,"live"means"live for life",which is also referred to as human's practical activity."Home"is the basic space for human life and its living place is the elementary social unit. Environmental art design, as human's practical activity, is for the residential. Putting the idea of harmonious life into the construction can create healthy lifestyle. A special-designed harmonious home can directly benefit human's spiritual life and it is lubricant for the society.Residential environment contains individual itself as well as individual's"life world", therefore, the construction of residential ambience is far more than the design on material aspect. In fact, only creating a nice configuration is not able to bring a good environment, as any configuration design must have living foundation. Different people have different needs on the architecture, privacy and communication, which requires us to closely observe residents'living style, thus, the diverse, human-oriented and harmonious living condition can be achieved.Currently, as to the research on the system of residential environment design, most researchers have done a lot on design activity its but very less on individual users'intention and living style.The thesis is interpreting harmonious living style from four interactive aspects"human– nature","human– human","human– itself","human– society"and studies the design of living environment from design academic angle based on respecting human's value.Four Parts:First Party (2nd Paragraph): confirm theory foundation of living style and environment design.Second Part (3rd-5th Paragraph): probe design element, method and principle of residential environment design.Third Part (6th-7th Paragraph): Practice on residential environment design of harmonious lifestyle creativity. Analyze practical instance (Wuhan Changqing Huayuan)Fourth Part (8th Paragraph): Research on value and meaning of harmonious living style and residential design on the quality of human residence.
