Reach On The Vernacular Dwellings In The Mountainous Region Of Tiantangzhai District

This paper studies focuses on the analysis and discussion on the architectural characteristicsof the Vernacular dwellings in the mountainous region of Tiantangzai District as well as thefactors affecting these architectural characteristics. Based on the field study and collectionof the information about these dwellings, the author firstly studies and discusses theforming environment and influencing factors of the dwellings living in the mountainousregion of this district by starting from the natural, geographical, historical, humane andother aspects. As to the study on the dwellings, the author, based on the research analysis,classifies the residents of this region as three types, i.e. the ancient dwelling, ancestral halland rural dwelling. After that, the author studies these three types of dwellings by using thesystem analysis, induction, deduction and other methods. This paper deeply analyses thehistorical background, site selection and layout, maintenance system and other factors, thussummarizing the characteristics of these three types of dwellings. During the study, theauthor undertakes the analysis by combining the corresponding natural, regional andcultural environments in addition to stressing on the study on the dwellings themselves. Inthis way, this paper completes the multilevel analysis of the Vernacular dwellings in themountainous region of Tiantangzhai District.
