In order to ensure the human and equipment safety,the concept and the technique of the integrated grounding system has been introduced in high speed passenger dedicated railway engineering in China.High running speed and dispatching density lead to large traction load currents in the power supply systems.Moreover,the high speed railway widely use adopt,which has a relative high rail leakage resistance to the ground.This can result in very high electric potential of the rail.The integrated grounding system uses two to connect together various grounding structures along the railway properly to guarantee equipotential states of different systems and equipment,it can reduce the rail potential effectively.This paper introduces the application and design standards of the high speed rail grounding system abroad.Combined with the condition of our country,it presents the integrated grounding system and its main structure parameters.Based on the immense measured data in the field of He-Ning passenger dedicated line,this paper analyzes its grounding system's performance.According to the test requirements and some current design reference standards,I statics the data of the rail potential,degree of unbalance of rail currents and the traction return current distribution on the normal running,The requirements are met in light of the test results.Furthermore,through the study of the traction network,combined with the traction power supply system's characteristics and the theory of current feeding and earthing, considering various measures to reduce the rail potential in field test,simulation platform is put up,mainly realizing calculate simulation while the train normally runs in the autotransformer power supply system,according to the comparative analysis of test data,changing various connections related to the grounding system,it can summarize the elements affecting on the rail potential.Suggestions are provided specifically for design of high speed passenger dedicated railway's integrated grounding system according to the security criteria.The traction network simulation aiming to the integrated grounding system can not only analysis whether the design of planned railway measures up to the criteria in theory, but also test and performance the existing lines,so as to ensure appropriately and economical design and safe operation.
