Stone arch bridge is one of the oldest, most important, the most sophisticated type of bridge in our country. With the development of the traffic and scientific technology , all kinds of bridge-type appears, but the stone arch bridge still plays an important role. The increase of modern traffic put forward a higher requirement for the earlier stone arch bridge. Therefore, as one of the tools to carry out the performance evaluation of bridge, load test has been paid widespread attention. Experimental evaluation of bridges and reinforcement of research in the assessment of the existing bridge carrying capacity, accumulation of the bridge technical information, promotion and development of the old bridge performance evaluation theory and the new bridge-type design theory has an important significance. Using finite element method analysis of bridge structures has become a modern structural design and an important method for numerical calculation This paper introduces the development history of the stone arch bridge in our country, detection of bridge structure, content, characteristics of common diseases, causes, prevention and treatment approaches and common reinforcement methods, expounds the principle of Stone Arch Bridge, content, and reinforcing principle and focuses on the increasing section method at Stone Arch Bridge application, at the same time combined with engineering examples of ancient stone arch bridge, set up full-bridge finite analysis model by SAP2000 finite element analysis software. By comparing the results of the analysis and static load test results, evaluate the actual carrying capacity of the stone arch bridge and provide a theoretical basis for the stone arch bridge of reinforced research. Finite element analysis and load test combining a bridge for future testing, performance evaluation study of reinforcement provides a new scientific method, there are broad prospects for development.
