Research On The Urban Street Based On The Environment-behavior Studies Theory

From the Environment-behavior studies perspective, this article clarifies the relationship between street space and people's livelihood in cities. Through the analysis of field survey sum up people's behavioral and psychological needs in the streets. In the Space Research on the urban streets, it's from the perceptual characteristics of people, the environmental supporting target and psychological needs to analyses the design of street space:I, Starting from the concept of city and space patterns to do some research on the urban streets' history, and do further analysis and research on the impact on urban streets cause of behaviors of people and cars have been used.II, Through the substantial investigation on a variety of people's behavioral and psychological needs in urban streets, and analyzing the reasons that people's a variety of activities in the streets, it will provide direct reference resources for the design of the urban streets space.III, Supported by the environmental behavior theory, it did analysis and research on the urban streets, such as traffic safety, open space properties, design of barrier-free ,street view issues and cultural characteristics.The basis for this study is the status in quo of the development of urban streets in our country. Environment-behavior studies is the mainly throughout point of view in this article. It highlights the importance of people in the development of urban streets in order to guide the creation of updating urban streets space.
