Marine oil and gas industry will be a leading role in 21st century, resources in the bottom of sea has now been the focus areas, all the countries have paid much attention to it, it's a strategic point now.Although our country had take a series of oil and gas resources exploitation in the floors of sea, but most of the facilities or technologies which been used on it still rely on some foreign companies.Subsea Tie-in systems is been introduced in this paper. Subsea flowlines are used for the transportation of crude oil and gas from subsea wells, manifolds, offshore process facilities, loading buoys, subsea to beach, as well as re-injection of water and gas into the reservoir. tie-in and connection of subsea flowlines is a vital part of a subsea field development.On the demand of national 863 plans projects, a new kind of Vertical Collect Connectors has been designed. Its designed for water depths exceeding 3,000 meters and working pressures to 15,000psi, all jumpers or spool pieces are installed using guidelineless techniques. Jumpers or spool pieces are installed after onshore construction mate to previously installed equipment based on subsea metrology data. Vertical connections are installed directly onto the receiving hub in one operation during tie-in. Since the Vertical Connection System does not require a pull-in capability, it provides a time efficient tie-in operation. Stroking and connection is carried out by the connector itself.As the key technologe of pipeline tie-in system, connectors has been well analyzed and designed. Collet Connectors are attached to one end of the pipe-connection, and have "fingers" gripping on the other pipe-ends flange. The connectors are characterised by a compact hub design, slim moment balanced fingers and the flat-to-flat geometry between actuator ring and fingers, which provides self-locking of connector and enables a high mechanical advantage.At the end of this paper, the manufacture of virtual prototype is finished by the mean of introducing three-dimensional model into Solidworks, simulation analyses of stability of prototype and motion process of components are made, the results are feedback to the design process, which ensure that the performances of machines can meet the requirements of actual work environment.
