Primary Investigation Of The Outer Edges In City Park

The article mainly concentrated on the edge of city park,because there haven't a concrete definition of the edge in the domain of landscape architecture.Firstly,I collected the theory about the edge in relative studies,and tried to definite the edge in landscape architecture.Then,I applied my idea in research,analyzed the form of city park's edge and the space made up by it.This paper is departed into three parts,which includes "basic research on theory","analysis of examples" and "mode summarization".In the first part,I summarized different ideas on the edge,and finally got a new idea about the edge of city park.Then,I learned almost ten famous parks at home and abroad,further,researched about five typical city parks in Beijing.After given the particulars of the cases,we try to discus various design ways by comparing the landscape edges in the past and at present,at home and aboard.Finally,I try to make modes in order to explain my ideas,and summarize the method from these examples hopping these method could be used in design practice.
