The Methods And Applied Research On Traffic Management Planning In Small City

In recent years, the rapid development of the national economy and the acceleration of the urbanization process result in a significant increase urban vehicle ownership and road traffic.The traffic problems arised from this, example for traffic jams and environmental pollution, have become worse and worse.It has seriously affected the normal life of urban residents,and limited the urban economic development.After taken a series of engineering measures,the Urban decision-makers recognize that urban traffic management planning is the fundamental measures to solve the urban traffic problem.The urban traffic management planning, refers to the flow rules planning about motor vehicles, non-motorized and pedestrian space in the urban road network.It can be divided into three levels: strategies planning for urban traffic management, integrated management planning for urban traffic and special management planning for urban traffic.Its fundamental purpose are to fully utilize the existing roads resources, and mine the potential of capacity and improve traffic order to ease traffic congestion and improve traffic safety.Through concluding the general theory of the urban traffic management planning,this paper proposes a set of scientific and rational approach to develop small urban traffic management planning.The main research contents are as follows: defining small cities from the traffic view; analysing trip characteristics of small urban traffic; collection methods and processing technology of traffic data; demand forecasting and analysis of small urban traffic;After introduces the models, the maneuver and the measure of traffic management, this paper offers the content involoved in the urban transportation management planning project, at same time ,it offers the process andways about the appraisement,the adjustment and the development of urban transportation management planning. Finally, this paper visually and concretelyexplains the method of urban transportation management planning by the traffic management plan design and evaluation of Xupu County in Hunan.
