As the holding city of 2008 Olympic Games, Beijing is buss planningand constructing anything about the Olympics, in which the planning andimplementing of Olympic traffic is the basic of ensuring the traffic movingsmoothly during the Olympic Games. Among all the people who will attendthe Olympic Games, the spectators have an enormous pressure to the trafficsystem, who own the most number and are the most randomly. Firstly,according to previous Olympics' experience and the real conditions of BeijingOlympics, this paper analyzes the planning aim, travel trait, traffic forecastingand the trait of traffic organizing, and gives a summary. Secondly, this paperapplies traditional four-step method (including trip generation, trip distributiontrip mode sorting and trip assignment) to give an intact traffic demandforecasting of Olympic spectators, and according to the forecasting result andother country's experience of public traffic organizing plan, puts up anintegrative planning to the 2008 Olympic public traffic, which satisfies theOlympic spectators' traffic demand――accessibility demand. At last, aimingat Olympic park which have a lot of games, this paper gives an elaborateproject planning to traffic organizing, in which a main study to the spectators'walking traffic of Olympic park and shuttle-buses running around the venue. Through the analysis to the whole process of Olympic spectators traveland according to the trait of Olympic spectators' travel, this paper points outthe relevant trait of traffic organizing and traffic forecasting, and puts forwardrelevant analysis method and plan. Accordingly, an integrated trafficforecasting and analyzing method of Olympic spectators and other large-scale IIabstractactivities is set up on the basic of this paper.
