Simulation And Optimization Of The AS/RS Based On Flexsim

Based on introducing the AS/RS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System) and the modeling methods of the DEDS (Discrete Event Dynamic System), the author builds the model of the AS/RS using the Petri net, and adopts simulation software of the Flexsim to analyze the AS/RS.Based on the constitute and the task flow, the AS/RS is divided into some subsystems such as Stocking, picking ,stock-out operation system. According to the result of the analysis, the characteristic and the equipments of it, the layering building model is put forward. And the subsystem models of the stocking,the picking and the stock-out operation were built. The author tallied up the change affair-forms of each subsystem, and analyzed the commonly model of the system using the workflow of the Petri-net and the research tree.Some operation procedures in AS/RS are simulated on three-dimensional animation using the logistics simulation software——Flexsim. According to the result of simulation, the"bottle-neck"phenomenon is discovered. Many measures that can eliminate this phenomenon is put forward.It proves that the improved measures are validity by simulating and analyzing the improved model after optimization.The author puts forward the research approach used to study the AS/RS operation procedure by Petrinet and Flexsim. This method is suitable for studying the other dynamic and stochastic systems at logistics field, and provides a theory reference and practical foundation for designing and evaluating logistics system.
