Integration Study On The Corridor Of The Second Metro Line And The Ground Public Transportation System In Xi'an

Based on the integration and coordination study of the urban rail transportation and the conventional public transportation system, the current traffic conditions of the second metro line in Xi'an have been investigated in this paper. Based on the characteristic and the functional localization of the rail transportation and the conventional public transportation system, by using of the "four-phase" traffic forecast method, the reasonable contribution rate between the rail transportation and the conventional public transportation system in current has been calculated, and the form of the passenger flow after the operatation of the second metro line has been analyzed. In order to build the transportation pattern which is in line with the sustainable development, the rail transportation and the conventional public transportation system should be integrated. The integration is based on the three levels of the surface, the line and the point. The line has been taken as the main line in this paper, through the adjustment of public transportation system, the rail transportation system will be coordinated and its function will be displayed, therefore the transportation efficiency of the whole public transportation system will be improved. Finally, as a pritical example, the central area of the economic and technique zone in the second metro line in Xi'an has been adjusted for its line.
