With the growth of China’s economic and the acceleration of urbanization, the contact between urban and rural is becoming more and more closely, travel demand is increasing, while the existing layout of urban and rural passenger transport network can not meet the travel demand of urban and rural residents, which has characteristics of large capacity, high frequency and short distance. To solve the problem between urban and rural, the integration of urban and rural public transportation, as a new idea, has been paid more and moe attention and applied in China. Based on introduction of the present research at home and abroad, this paper has studied optimization of public transportation network layout in the context of urban-rural integration, with the background of Wangcheng district, Changsha city.This paper first describes the social-economic development of Wangcheng district Changsha city, and analyzes the traffic situation from four aspects called the characteristics of urban and rural residents, public transport line status, station facilities. Then, using the "four stage" demand forecasting method to respectively predict the near and long-term public traffic volume of the city center reasonably, as well as village, providing a strong reference for the optimization of public traffic network.On the basis of the basic theory of the optimization of the integration of urban and rural public transportation network, according to the development goals of urban and rural integration of Wangcheng district, combined with the reality, this paper has established an integration optimization model, meanwhile the algorithm has been given.Taking the different environment between the urban area and village and towns into account, this paper uses the method of "lay out line by line and optimize into network" to optimize the urban public transportation network and takes the method of "fixed point arrange the line-transform into network-set the station" to arrange and optimize the urban and rural public transportation network. Finally, adjust the line network repeatedly to get the most optimal realistic solution.The public transportation development of urban and countryside integration in China has started relatively late, the related research is also scarce. The relevant research results are integrated effectively and applied to practice in this paper, so the study result has a certain practical sence.
