Currently, urbanization and motorization have become two major subjects of the development of city and countryside. Along with the development of the city and countryside integration, the migration population from countryside is expanding increasingly, so the number of urban population is in explosive growth. The development of urban and countryside integration broke the urban-rural dual economic structure, promoted the material link and space transportation between urban and countryside, and increased the travel demand of residents. At present, the competition between urban and countryside is no longer competition between cities. It is the regional competition and especially it is the competition of the city and countryside integration development. The healthy development of urban and countryside integration is held back because of the shortcomings existing in the traditional operation way of the city and countryside public transport, such as the fierce competition, decentralized management, low-rate load, poor punctuality and service. Now, in order to promote the socio-economic development of urban and countryside integration, it is the key to the passenger transportation of the urban and countryside integration that how to scientifically plan and rationally distribute the line resources to form the urban and rural public transport network that combined stems with branches.The optimization of public transportation network layout in the context of urban and countryside integration are studied, including the characteristic of network level under special conditions, the characteristic of passenger flow's demands, the special requirements of operation and the appropriate measure of network optimization and so on. In the same time, the developing environment of urban and countryside's public transportation ,the level structure and the function of urban and rural public transportation network are analyzed. Then the optimized structure of urban and rural public transport network in accordance with the trunk, sub-trunk line and the branch are offered, so that the optimization of urban and countryside public transportation network was more purposeful, scientifically and actual. Combined with the land layout of urban and countryside, the traffic corridor, the network structure, the characteristics of passengers'demands for the integration of urban and countryside are studied. The factors about the development and operation of urban and countryside integration are analyzed, and the optimize tiered model are established with the frequency and routes as decision-making variable, with maximize social and economic benefits as target, with the length of lines, line of non-linear coefficient, the coefficient of double-track, the non- balanced characteristic of line section, line density, the coefficient of passengers'transit, the rate of bus lines coverage, residents'travel time as limitation. With these characteristics, based on the successful public transportation experience of urban and countryside integration from domestic and abroad, and some improved methods, the optimization of urban and countryside public transportations network are offered, with the use of public transportation corridor and the principles of from primary to secondary, from rough to detailed and adjusting and optimizing according to layers. In order to ensure the optimization results reasonable, based on the structure system of the urban and countryside public transportation and the function of the target, the thesis chose such the accessibility of public transport, the technological level of public transport, the services level of public transport and the operation level of public transport as typical indicators. The optimization evaluation system of urban and countryside public transportation network are established. Meanwhile, the optimization of public transportation network in Pan yu District, Guangzhou City is analyzed empirically.At present, the domestic public transportation development of urban and countryside integration is also still in its infancy and successful methods are scarce. After the relevant research results are integrated effectively and applied to practice, not only the basis of the theory on the public transportation development of urban and countryside integration is enriched, but also the public transportation construction and operation of urban and countryside integration are guided realistically.
