Micro-surfacing as an economic, rapid and effective preventive maintenance technology, can improve anti-sliding, closure, and water infiltration performance of the road surface, and improve the appearance and surface smoothness and outstanding features such as repair of track. It has been played an increasingly important role in our country in the field of road maintenance, and has strong prospects. However, due to the late start in China, its overall level of design and construction is still relatively low, so the technology has yet to be further improved.This topic aims at the Micro-Surfacing technology of Gansu province, detailed analysis the modification and emulsification mechanism, the compatibility principles and influencing factors of base asphalt. Production formula of the modified emulsified asphalt was presented; Detailed analysis the modified emulsified asphalt's compatibility with different aggregates and their influencing factors. Different types of modified emulsified asphalt's were proposed to adapt to Gansu province. Consider with Micro-surfacing' technical features, types of asphalt pavement early damage and road decay model, the best carrying time of Micro-Surfacing was studied, both single and comprehensive evaluation indexes which based on pavement performance were presented. Besides, rational evaluation indexes of Gansu province were proposed.
