Rocky slope engineering is one important problem of geotechnical engineering . The stability mechanism of slope research has aways been an important tropic in geotechnical engineering. Based on different kind of fabric face ,rocky slope was classfied samdwich rocky slope separate rocky slope and fragment rocky slope which all effect on the slope's stability. In this article ,the model origined from a slope in Xi-Pan highway. This model test modeling three kind of single fabric face in rocky slope. The three kind of conditions are the dip of slope and fabric are counterpart; the dip of slope and fabric face are the same and slope angle of fabric more than slope angle; the dip of fabric face and slope are the same and slope angle fabric less than slope angle. Study the deformat mechanism by using centrifugal model test. In addition, the numerical analyses on plastic area of the three conditions by using MARC program. Through the two study results can guide the stability mechanism of single fabric face in rocky slope and instructive proposal the slope protecting design.
