The road accidents in our country are getting worse and worse in recent years, especially in long and great downhill path in mountain area, the malignant traffic accident sometimes occurs. The heat fade of Vehicles braking system is an important reason. Therefore, it is very important to mastering the temperature rise rule of vehicle that running in long and great downhill path in mountain area and the factor that effecting the heat fade of drum brake.First, through the investigation of vehicle that running in mountain area, chooses the representational truck as the research object. By analyzing the structure and working principle of its drum brake, calculates the numerical value of the temperature rise performance. Guided by the principle of experiment design and the criterion of braking performance, devises brake drive gear and temperature measure device. On the basis of vehicle chassis integration testing system, establishes the bench test system of temperature rise of drum brake.Then, in the process of experiment, simulates the different load and speed running condition, analyzes the temperature rise data in MATLAB, and finds the relationship between the braking temperature rise and the braking energy.At last, based on the result of theory analysis and experiments, the practical VC software for calculating the temperature rise of drum brake is programmed, and the practical application for the future is based.
