Magnetorheological fluid(MRF) is the magnetic particles dispersed in a base fluid to form a suspension, is a kind of very promising and engineering application of new smart materials, that good performance magnetorheological fluid in the magnetic field, could be transform from Newtonian fluid to plastic Bingham (Bingham) fluid in the millisecond time, and this change continuously, reversible, reliable and excellent features, while is ideal for active control. Using this feature of MRF to design a brake, supplemented reasonable control and information feedback system, could quickly match ground adhesion and braking force, complete the ideal of ABS braking process, thus replace the traditional mechanical hydraulic ABS,conducive to integrated chassis control, significantly improved braking performance. Although there are a lot of research on magneto-rheological fluid brake, it not yet have reached the point the of production, studies are also limited in trials exploring generally, fewer studies engineering applications, so in order to further promote the application of magneto-rheological fluid brake, it is important to design a MRF brake test bench.In this paper, based on relevant standards and magnetorheological fluid brake brake requirements, propose design goals, select a appropriate test bench transmission scheme. By analysising the deficiencies of conventional brake test bench design methods, propose the method of drawing mechanical properties and acceleration characteristic curve and calculating the acceleration time, optimal design of the system and reasonable match parts; upon completion of the optimization program, analytical method for controlling the test bench, drawing SCM schematics and PCB, production and commissioning of the SCM with certain immunity deal, depending on the design of the gantry system,create a system simulation model in Matlab/simulink, analysis the lack of system self-adjusting, presented to the constant speed closed-loop control system, use PID control algorithm; establishment of semi-physical simulation platform based on the simulation model, write MCU control procedures, complete of the test bench constant speed control.
