In recent years, under the background of large-scale subway construction and intensive using of land resource, the underground commercial area at subway stations has become an important part of the comprehensive development and forth putting of China's underground space at subway stations. It has special significance and role of maintaining and enhancing urban vitality as well as improving urban ecology and traffic environment.Compared to other commercial space, the most obvious characteristics of the underground commercial space at subway stations are listed below: First, its location which is at underground place is very special. Second, it has prominent traffic accessibility. This thesis firstly gives explanation of the research object as well as its related concepts and analyzed the urban value and economic efficiency of the development and construction of the underground commercial space at the subway stations. At the same time, it studies and lists the commercial space science, environmental psychology, theory of demand theory and other related theories that related to the design of this type of commercial space and using these theories as the theoretical basis to guide the design, raising the key point of the design of the underground commercial space at subway stations.According to the analysis and comparison of the development history and current situation of the domestic and foreign underground commercial space at subway stations and based on the differences such as scale size, space form, engaging in state combination, city traffic function, this thesis divides the underground commercial space at subway stations of our country into three types: passage commerce, subway station market and underground shop. Meanwhile, the author surveys on the spot specifically at shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, the three cities which start relatively early in China. It then sums up the problems of the design of China's underground commercial space at subway stations It then chooses the typical object to analyze and concludes the problems of the current design of the underground commercial space at subway stations.Based on this, and combined with related theories as well as successful cases abroad this paper raises design strategy of the development and construction of the underground commercial space at subway stations. The fourth chapter mainly points out the earlier period plan and the method of the overall registration from forecast of the commercial size and the disposition of the commercial industry condition; The fifth puts stress on the concrete design method and the partial design research, separately proposes the corresponding measures from the transportation accessibility, the balance of the commercial and traffic function, the space environment quality and the cultural connotation.Finally, this thesis concludes the research results and uses it as the conclusion of this thesis. In this way, if improves the framework of this thesis.
