Research On The Appliance Of Lims In The Test And Mesurement Institute

Logistics management is one of the key aspects that companies can have a better control on the cost, improve the working efficiency among the market with full compete, while test and measurement is about the demarcating the accuracy of the test equipment. This thesis is about introducing the logistics management and information technology system into the test and measurement area by researching on the market status of the industrial. By applying the Lab Information Management System (LIMS) for the samples transporting in the test and measurement institute, it can help improve the working efficiency, thus save the operation cost. Firstly, this thesis have a brief introduction on the logistics, logistics information system, test and measurement institute, LIMS. Also, it described in detail on the daily operation in the institute, like organization structure, organization and business relationship, different operation function and its flowchart. Secondly, this thesis worked on the definition of the whole system, which included the brief introduction of the LIMS model, E-R chart, database and interface tables definition that can be easily used in test and measurement institute. Based on the system analysis and system definition, it focuses on the modeling of the samples transporting. And have the researching on each of its blocks like samples registration, samples testing, samples hand over, samples storage, samples picking up, statistic and query, internal interface.
