To build a new countryside with clean and tidy appearance, has great significance to social stability and development in China. From this level, to change a situation, which is the pronoun of "dirty, disorder and poor" in the rural areas, is extremely urgent. After the author's further investigation, we found that the kitchen and toilet should improve. In recent years, "the change of toilets" has carried out all over the country, and has achieved good results. As for the transformation of the kitchen, it seems to be less. Under such circumstances, the study on designing reasonable rural kitchens is quite urgent.Chairman Mao Zedong has said that "there won't be right without investigation." To follow the academic criteria, I start the investigation, with the working methods that is to find the problem - to analysis the problem - to solve the problem , then use architectural theories and design professionals, mixing the integrations of sociology, folklore, economics, ecology, etc together. The aim is to find the problem of rural kitchens in Heze City, Shandong Province. On this basis, build a vocabulary of architectural forms for this rural area. The full text is divided into six chapters:The first chapter tells us the study's background, the actual state and the characteristic of the countryside, the methods, the purpose as well as the scope of the study .Then we give an overall presentation to the research; and made a brief introduction for the sampling points of the research.According to the researchers' village trip, the second chapter gives us a description of the local peasants' kitchens. At the same time, the author finds out the shortcomings of the rural kitchens in this district, as well as its characteristics.The third chapter tells us the impact factors to the changes of kitchen, such as the social background, the economic background, historical background and the cultural roots; then discussed how the food culture impacts the designing kitchens.The fourth chapter tells us the vocabulary of architectural forms in this rural area, which can advance the rural living environment toward a suitable and dynamic trend.The fifth chapter shows an actual project to us, which the theory in the fourth chapter is used along with the local situation; and then forecast its development to us.The sixth chapter gives us a summary to the whole text and the main views. And at the end, the author calls for more attention to rural life.
