Research On Chengdu Park And Greenbelt That Fits The Elderly By The Post Occupancy Enaluation

The population structure general complies with 21 centuries , our countries being completed advanced in years-rization develop to reaching the advanced in years-rization peak. Aging of population of our country will reach hitherto unknown scale in history preparing degree. This is society economic growth and the scientific and technological progress inevitable result. We should face and try to solve the problem that aging have brought to our society. Based on a great deal of investigation in Chengdu,this study has made a detailed study on how to design,construct and reconstruct city park and greenbelt that is fitted for the elderly. The main study results are as follows:1. The classification of the elderly has been done according to age and behavior ability respectively. PhysioIogical and psychological character of the elderly,the effection factors of the service conditions of urban park,the behavior content and manner,etc.were also analyzed in this thesis.2. Using the method of Post Occupancy Evaluation(POE),TongDe park, Lively Water Park and People's Park have been investigated,the status quo and the elderly behavior character of the three parks were obtained from the investigation. Questionnaire analyzing has been done,and basic information of the interviewed elderly;distance,come-and-go ways and required time from home to parks,frequency of entering the parks;the opinion on environment,scale and management of the three parks;activity manner in the three parks;subjective demands on environment and establishment;total impression on Chengdu park and greenbelt constructing, etc.were concluded from the analysis results. In the meantime,some existing questions about Chengdu park and greenbelt constructing such as greenbelt is not well-proportioned,beneficial scope and scale structure is not rational; no-obstacle design is absence;activity field is not scientifically distributed;establishment is not self-contained;management is worse,etc.were also concluded.3.Based on the above instance investigation and analysis, People's Park was chosen as major case investigation and deep analysis object. The status quo was depicted,successful and deficient aspect was synthetically evaluated,and improvement suggests were put forward..4.Exercisable countermeasure was put forward about constructing park and greenbelt that fits the elderly. Concerning the city layout,rational beneficial scope,scale structure of park and greenbelt should be stipulated,essential municipal establishment should be built,safe convenient passing condition and undisturbed activity atmosphere insulated from busy environment should be created;Concerning the design,detailed constructing requirement of walk room,sitting and rest room,courtyard room,water room,tree planting,illumination and service establishment were defined;Concerning the other countermeasure,making total society knowing the importance,perfecting the law system,devoting more financial money, strengthening the management,etc.were also put forward.
