Since the beginning of 21st century, the country's regional development strategy has changed extremely, from the former unbalanced regional development to the present balanced development and from the former construction focused on the east coast to the present balanced development. In this fresh economic development background, multiple regional economy development modes have appeared. Under this situation, the regional economic cooperation in a province or among provinces has developed rapidly and become a new form of domestic regional economic development. Growth Triangle is one of the most representative regional economic cooperation formers.Regional economic development needs the material support provided by road network, while growth triangle is a dynamic regional economic cooperation form, needing the relevant dynamic material support by road network. The development of Growth Triangle undertakes four stages, from the initial stage, the growing stage, optimizing stage to the integrating stage: the development goes from the point form, the axis form to the area form. On the basis of the Growth Triangle theory, this paper first puts forward methods for the road network layout, suggesting that for the "short plate" give the leading role of traffic and the "weak plate " use the form of local area basic network aiding the whole road network layout, then points out that network optimization is needed in the triangle area, and finally presents the quality evaluation method of network layout. This paper also puts forward the concept of "center triangle" and regards such metropolitan areas as Xi'an metropolitan area, Zhengzhou metropolitan area and Taiyuan metropolitan area as a whole body to present the road network layout of the metropolitan area, the transport corridor network layout and the whole triangle network layout, and finally obtains good results. This paper only studies the regional network layout forms from the macro-scope, yet the specific operational analysis still needs further research.
