Regional Road Network Research And Practice Of Jinjiang City

The regional highway is an important part of transportation system. And it is also an important traffic equipment to satisfy the region socio-economic development and the resident transportation demand. The regional highway construction must consider the correlation factors such as:the influences of the national economy development, the level of society development and so on. In different phases, there should be the rational scale of the road network which matches with its development. Therefore, analysis and researches of the rational scale of the regional road network will be of great significance for the following aspects:adjusting the adaptability between traffic and economy, finding the shortages in the process of the highway construction, clearing about the developing thoughts, objectives and emphasis's of highway construction, establishing rational projects for the road network; promoting the harmonious development of traffic and economy and realizing the modernization and sustainable development of traffic system.In the thesis, firstly the adaptability between the recent road network and the local economy development of Jinjiang is evaluated and then find out its shortages. Secondly according to the development plan of the West Coast Economic Zone and the "Eleventh Five-Year" development outline spirit of Jinjiang, the thesis predicted the urban and socio-economic development of Jinjiang from 2010 to the end of 2020. On the basis of analysis of correlation for the influencing factors of the transport capacity, using the time series, regression, growth coefficient and elastic coefficient methods, the research predicates the highway transportation demands of Jinjiang from 2010 to the end of 2020. Furthermore it uses the four stages method to predict the traffic of Jinjiang in the end of 2020. Finally, according to the principles and objectives of road network planning in Jinjiang, the thesis also gives the layout plans of road network in three levels such as skeleton network, backbone network and the rural road network.
